The 6th International Fair of Medicinal, Spicy, and Ornamental Plants, Beekeeping Products, and Mushrooms, called Balkan Eco Fair, was opened in Vranje. The fair has an international character and gathers producers from Vranje, Kosovo and Metohija, Macedonia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska, and Croatia. The opening was attended by Prof. Dr. Dragan Glamočić from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, who emphasized the importance of the fair for the development of these agricultural sectors and announced increased support for farmers. The Mayor of Vranje, Dr. Slobodan Milenković, highlighted that the fair is an opportunity for knowledge exchange and promotion of a healthy lifestyle, as well as biodiversity preservation. The fair gathered numerous exhibitors with diverse products, and the program was enriched with musical performances. This event contributes to sustainable development and the promotion of the region’s natural resources.
