BMW Mafia at Montenegro’s Borders!
Did you know that cars wanted internationally are crossing our borders every day? Yes, you read that right! Montenegro’s border police recently seized two BMWs that were on international warrants.
Two BMWs, two warrants, two drivers
At the border crossings Bijelo Polje – Rožaje and Dračenovac, police stopped two BMW vehicles. The first, a BMW with Ukrainian license plates driven by a man from Bijelo Polje, was under an Interpol warrant from Podgorica. The second, a BMW X3 driven by a Serbian citizen from Novi Pazar, was wanted by the German NCB Interpol.
How do these cars cross the border?
This is not just a question for the police but for all of us. How can vehicles wanted internationally freely travel through Montenegro? Is this just the tip of the iceberg?
Interpol and international warrants – efficiency or farce?
Interpol is supposed to connect police forces worldwide and help catch criminals. Yet, the fact that these two BMWs reached Montenegro’s border and were only seized then casts doubt on the system’s effectiveness.
Who are the drivers?
The drivers are men aged 33 and 40 from Bijelo Polje and Novi Pazar. Are they mere pawns in a bigger smuggling game or criminals themselves? That remains to be seen.
What’s next?
The vehicles have been handed over to the relevant security departments for further action. Hopefully, the investigation will reveal who is behind these cars and why they were wanted.
Conclusion
This situation is a wake-up call for all of us. Montenegro’s borders are not impenetrable, and international warrants mean little if not enforced effectively. Will we allow criminals to freely drive on our streets? Or will we finally put an end to these games?
