Welcome to the Bundek fan zone, where drink prices are sky-high! Ahead of Thompson’s concert expected to draw hundreds of thousands, the fan zone is open, but the prices will empty your wallet like never before. Half a liter of water costs a shocking 5 euros, beer 7 euros, and gemišt a whopping 7 euros! Yes, you read that right! A simple bottle of water costs as much as half a liter of beer in some other parts of Europe. And that’s not all – a ham sandwich costs 8 euros, and an energy bar 4 euros. All this while fans slowly gather, with crowds expected in the evening.
Organizers rented the Bundek fan zone to accommodate those who can’t get into the hippodrome, but is this really a service or just another way to cash in on fans? Bars, tables, benches, and stalls are set up, but the prices are far from affordable.
Concert manager Zdravko Barišić urged fans to come early, as a huge number of people from all over Europe are expected. Parking is rented at Velesajam and Bundek, but will it be enough?
Zagreb authorities announced special traffic regulations and blockades of three neighborhoods around the hippodrome, further complicating access to the concert. All in all, prepare for crowds, high prices, and an uncertain atmosphere.
If you thought this was just another ordinary concert, think again. Thompson’s spectacle at the hippodrome could be the event of the year, but also a test of patience and wallets. So, what do you think about these prices? Would you pay 7 euros for a beer in the fan zone? Drop a comment, maybe we’ll all be surprised how much we’re willing to pay for a good time!
