Milutin Đukanović and Artificial Intelligence: Savior or Illusion of the Energy Transition?

Here comes Milutin Đukanović, Chairman of the Board of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore, speaking at the International Business Forum in Sarajevo about artificial intelligence as the ally of the energy transition. Yes, you read that right – artificial intelligence, that mysterious force from the future, is now supposedly the key to saving the electricity sector! Đukanović emphasized that managing energy is like managing life – without water, food, and energy, there is no life. But wait, there’s more! He outlined three strategic directions: realistic goals in energy production and consumption, upgrading transmission infrastructure, and developing battery systems. Sounds like sci-fi? Maybe, but this is our reality.

Of course, Đukanović didn’t miss the chance to warn about serious problems: a shortage of skilled personnel, especially in software engineering, and the need for long-term planning. The future, he says, will require people who know how to collaborate with robots and artificial intelligence. Are you ready for that? Because if we’re slow, we’ll lose the race, and the best ideas will remain just ideas.

On the same panel, experts from various fields spoke about AI’s application in diplomacy, wine industry, logistics, and crisis management. The International Business Forum in Sarajevo once again confirmed that digitalization and innovation are the future, and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore is ready to lead the energy transition – boldly, smartly, and responsibly.

But is this just another tech fairy tale to save the world, or is it really time to change energy? If you have an opinion or just want to laugh at AI soon running our electricity, feel free to drop a comment. Who knows, maybe your idea will be the next big thing!
