D Diplinzi Are Back with a New Single and Album!
Thought the rock scene in Šibenik was asleep? Think again! The band D Diplinzi, formed back in 2009 and known for their original rock sound, just dropped a new single called “Jedan drugi, drugi treći” (One Second, Second Third), which also announces their upcoming third album of the same name.
This song isn’t just another hit – it’s a personal take on everyday situations many of us can relate to, but the band leaves the interpretation up to the listeners. The music and lyrics are credited to Branimir Lambaša, Mario Vrbat, Krste Vrljevac, and Marko Dopuđ, while the video was directed and edited by Ante Deković and Tomislav Dugandžić.
The recording took place at High Studio in Sinj, under the watchful eye of Mile Mijač, with mixing and mastering by Goran Martinac. This guarantees the quality that D Diplinzi fans have come to expect over the years.
The Band Through the Years – From the Beginning to Today
D Diplinzi was founded in 2009 in Šibenik. The lineup includes Mario Vrbat (bass), Jurica Čular (guitar), Ivan Burić (drums), Luka Pauk (keyboards), Ante Dobrović (guitar), and Branimir Lambaša (vocals). Their first album, “Odakle ti obraz?” (Where Do You Get Your Nerve?), was recorded in 2011 at Nenad Vilović’s studio in Split, with singles like the ballad “Grane sve kurcu” quickly winning over audiences.
In 2014, they recorded their second album “Ne budi lud” (Don’t Be Crazy), during which the band lineup changed – Ana Ratković joined as a vocalist, while Ante Dobrović and Luka Pauk left. Today, the band performs in a new lineup with Branimir Lambaša, Mario Vrbat, Krste Vrljevac, and Marko Dopuđ.
Concert Activity and Festivals
After a short break, D Diplinzi returned to the stage and actively perform at festivals like Crtaona Fest, Regius Festival, Martinska Meets Kanal Fest, and T.L.M. Festival. Their energy and authenticity on stage leave no one indifferent.
