Ukraine War: Putin and Trump Talk, But Nothing Changes!

Talks Without Progress Putin made it clear to Trump that Russia will not give up its goals in Ukraine. Russian Attacks on Kyiv Just a day after the call, Russia launched one of the largest nighttime drone attacks on Kyiv. At least 14 people were injured, and railway infrastructure was damaged. Buildings and cars are burning, and Mayor Vitali Klitschko is urging residents to be ready for more attacks. While Trump and Putin talk, civilians pay the price.
Zelensky and Trump: Talks on Weapons and Defense Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke with Trump, seeking enhanced protection of Ukraine’s airspace. After the US decided to halt deliveries of key weapons, Kyiv warned this would weaken their defense and allow Russia to continue attacks. Zelensky called the Russian attacks massive and cynical, while Trump still fails to pressure Putin into serious talks.
Diplomatic Farce or Real Hope? Although Putin and Trump discussed joint energy and space projects, as well as the situation in Syria and Iran, the real issue — peace in Ukraine — remains unresolved. Putin even congratulated Trump on US Independence Day, but that didn’t help stop the war.
