Belgrade in Total Traffic Chaos!
This morning, trams and trolleybuses in Belgrade got stuck at key locations like Ružveltova, Trošarina, and Jurija Gagarina. Why? Because groups of students, backed by citizens, are blocking the streets in protest.
Belgrade’s public transport company, GSP, had to pull all vehicles into garages because there’s literally nowhere to park them until conditions improve. The GSP dispatch center is at a loss with trams sitting idle for hours on the streets.
Students are blocking faculties and roads, and the police are trying to disperse them. Some leave when police arrive, only to regroup and block other spots immediately.
This isn’t just a traffic problem; it’s a social earthquake. Citizens are split—some support the students, others are furious they can’t get to work or appointments.
Is this the start of a new protest era or just another day in Belgrade where no one can move? One thing’s for sure—Belgrade is trapped in its own streets today, and trams and trolleybuses are just helpless extras in this chaos.
