Asia-Pacific markets rose after Donald Trump temporarily suspended tariffs on Mexico, and Canada confirmed that proposed tariffs on its exports were also suspended. Japan’s Nikkei 225 increased by 1.15%, while South Korea’s Kospi rose by 1.52%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index went up by 2%, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 by 0.2%. Indian stocks also recorded gains. Chinese markets remain closed due to the Lunar New Year.
