WHO: 112 Palestinian Children Hospitalized Daily in Gaza Due to Malnutrition

The World Health Organization (WHO) has sounded the alarm on the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where approximately 112 Palestinian children are hospitalized daily due to malnutrition. Yes, you read that right — 112 kids every single day! This isn’t just a number; it’s a global wake-up call. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus described the situation as “surpassing catastrophic levels.” Out of 36 hospitals in Gaza, only 17 are partially functioning, and none are operational in northern Gaza or Rafah, the areas hardest hit by the ongoing conflict.

To make matters worse, at least some people have been killed trying to reach food distribution points controlled by Israel, which operate outside the United Nations system. WHO was only able to access Gaza for the first time this year on March 2, and even then, only in a very limited capacity. Humanitarian agencies face enormous challenges in reaching those in desperate need.

This is not just a statistic; it’s a tragedy unfolding before our eyes. Children are dying of hunger while the world stays silent. The blockade and military attacks by Israel are the direct causes of this disaster. If this doesn’t make you angry and ready to act, what will? Share your thoughts — there’s no room for indifference here!
