China filed a complaint to WTO against U.S. tariffs.

China has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against the U.S. decision to increase tariffs on Chinese goods by 10%. China’s Ministry of Commerce stated that the complaint was filed to protect China’s legitimate rights and interests. Beijing accused the U.S. of “malicious actions” and unilateral tariffs. The complaint was submitted through the WTO’s dispute resolution mechanism. U.S. President Donald Trump announced additional tariffs due to security and drug trade issues. China responded by announcing its own tariffs on American products.
