Drone Madness: Russia Shoots Down 60 Ukrainian UAVs, Airports in Total Chaos

Russia’s air defenses shot down a staggering 60 Ukrainian drones overnight across multiple Russian regions, including the annexed Crimea, Rostov, Azov and Black Sea waters, Kursk, Saratov, Belgorod, and more. This massive drone barrage forced temporary shutdowns at airports in Kazan, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk, throwing Russian air traffic into utter chaos.

But wait, this drone madness isn’t new! Earlier, Russian air defense systems took down 31 drones near the Azov and Black Sea regions. On July 5, four drones heading toward Moscow were shot down, causing flight suspensions at Sheremetyevo and other airports like Pulkovo in St. Petersburg.

The airport situation? A total disaster. Pulkovo saw 48 flights delayed and 74 canceled. Sheremetyevo canceled dozens of flights. At Strigino airport in Nizhny Novgorod, passengers are stuck, forced to sleep on the floor. Meanwhile, Russian air defenses scramble to keep up with the relentless wave of Ukrainian drones.

And it’s not just Russia feeling the heat. Russian drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian cities like Kharkiv and Kyiv have killed at least four people and injured over 30, including three children. Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, regularly faces these deadly attacks, with apartments and kindergartens damaged.

Clearly, the drone war is in full swing, and civilians on both sides are paying a heavy price. Russia boasts about its air defenses shooting down dozens of drones, but airports are in chaos and passengers panic. On the flip side, Ukrainian cities endure deadly attacks that show no signs of stopping.

Is this the new face of warfare or just the beginning of even fiercer strikes? As the world watches in disbelief, ordinary people on both sides of the border bear the brunt. So, what do you think about this drone madness? Is this the war of the future or just another chaotic mess that will end someday? Drop a comment—maybe together we can figure out how to survive the next drone wave!
