Užice is back in the spotlight thanks to street chaos! Police have arrested several well-known blockaders, including Pavle Cicvarić, who last night took part in breaking through a police cordon while blocking the Ibarska highway in the Krčagovo neighborhood. Cicvarić even showed his defiance on social media — he wrote on a police shield “stupid rookies, learn how to hold a shield”! Before him, lawyer and opposition councilor Radovan Novaković was arrested; he was giving instructions to the crowd via megaphone last night. Alongside them, Vladan Sinđić and Dejan Ćosić were also detained, both known blockader leaders and councilors in the Užice assembly. Novaković, Sinđić, and Ćosić have been held for 48 hours, while Cicvarić’s fate is still pending. Earlier, two other blockaders were detained but later released.
