Kragujevac is facing a real traffic drama with tractor drivers! Since the beginning of the year, there have been seven traffic accidents involving tractors, resulting in two tragic deaths and three injuries. The police are constantly urging tractor and other agricultural machinery drivers to strictly follow traffic rules, regularly perform technical inspections, and use yellow rotating lights at night or in low visibility conditions. The main culprits? Inappropriate speed, loss of vehicle control, and incorrect vehicle maneuvers. Is it possible that tractor drivers operate without a valid driver’s license or under the influence of alcohol? The police say a firm NO! They also call on other road users to be extra cautious and pay special attention to tractors and other working machines. Dirt roads, cultivated fields, nighttime conditions – all require maximum attention. If you think a tractor is just a slow vehicle on the field, think again! These accidents are a serious problem demanding urgent attention from all of us. Next time you see a tractor on the road, maybe remember this appeal and slow down a bit.
