The Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) is not only urging citizens to follow safety measures but also threatening fines up to one million dinars for the irresponsible! The first step is to clear the area around your house – MUP advises removing low vegetation, dry grass, leaves, and branches within a 20-meter radius. Evacuation should be a last resort and only carried out if absolutely necessary, following the directions of the authorities.

The first is for solid and flammable materials, while the second is best for electrical installations. And remember – an unextinguished cigarette is the most common cause of forest fires!
