Range Rover Shocks with New Logo You Won’t See on Cars!

So, who said a logo has to be on cars? Range Rover just dropped a bombshell in the luxury SUV world with their new logo – but wait, you won’t see it on their vehicles! Yes, you read that right. British giant Jaguar Land Rover, now splitting its brands Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery into separate luxury entities, decided their new logo with two connected ‘R’s will only appear where the traditional ‘Range Rover’ lettering can’t fit. Sounds like they took a page from fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Goyard, because this logo will likely show up on upholstery and accessories, not on hoods or doors.

Autocar revealed this quirky symbol during a recent investor presentation, and JLR says the design’s purpose is to create a smaller, recognizable mark that can be used as a label or repeating pattern. BMW did something similar five years ago, introducing a new logo that doesn’t appear on cars, so it’s not unprecedented. But Range Rover is taking it further – next year their fully electric model arrives, and believe it or not, it will keep the old logo on the vehicle. So the new logo is here to stay, but only as a luxury detail, not as a badge on your SUV.

This is just part of a broader transformation Jaguar and Land Rover are undergoing, including Jaguar’s new visual identity. As the car world slowly shifts to an electric revolution, Range Rover is gearing up to strike with style, but with a logo that’s more of a fashion accessory than a car symbol. Genius move or utterly confusing? Drop a comment and tell us what you think about this luxury fashion twist in the automotive world!
