Horrific Tragedy in Vranje!
Imagine this – a 12-year-old boy, probably just wanting to enjoy a ride on his electric scooter and have some fun, ends up losing a leg! Yes, you read that right. Yesterday around 5 PM, at the intersection of Ratka Pavlovića and Kosovska streets in Vranje, this boy was hit by a truck.
Doctors at the University Clinical Center in Niš fought late into the night to save his leg, but unfortunately, they had to amputate.
The police confirmed the collision between the child and the truck, an investigation was conducted, and the relevant prosecutor’s office was notified.
This tragedy shines a harsh light on the safety of children in traffic, especially when using electric scooters, which have become popular but are clearly not safe for the youngest riders.
