Vučić is at it again – promising miracles on Serbia’s highways! President Aleksandar Vučić boasts that in his 12 years in power, Serbia has built more kilometers of highways than in the previous 67 years combined! Yes, you read that right – 12 years versus 67! And that’s not all – by the end of this year, even more kilometers will be completed, and Vučić doesn’t even want to talk about next year because the plans are massive.
Highway and expressway construction is a top priority, with projects like the bypass around Gornji Milanovac, the Miloš Veliki highway in full swing, the Sava bridge that must be finished before EXPO 2027, and the Petrovaradin bridge already halfway done. Vučić highlights the work connecting Corridor 10 and Corridor 11, expected to be completed in less than three years.
Industrial development in Pančevo and Zrenjanin is also in focus, with new factories and investments. Vučić points out that Zrenjanin is now the 10th largest city in Serbia and needs even more support. The Linglong factory is a key player, but Vučić wants more investments in the region.
He also mentions the Karađorđe expressway progressing excellently, connecting northern Šumadija with the rest of the country. Overall, Serbia is in a highway frenzy, and Vučić promises miracles in the near future.
Of course, while Vučić talks about these grand plans, many wonder – where’s the money coming from, how is it financed, and will it really be finished on time? But for now, the president is not backing down and keeps building. What do you think – is Serbia racing down the highway to the future, or is this just another big story? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s for and who’s against this highway revolution!
