The Spanish High Court has charged eight individuals with the attempted assassination of Aleh Vidalakvadrás, founder of the right-wing Vox party, who was wounded in an attack in Madrid’s elite Salamanca district. Judge Santiago Pedraz revealed that unidentified individuals from Iran ordered the assassination as revenge for Vidalakvadrás and his advocacy against the Iranian government. Earlier this year, Dutch intelligence reported that Tehran was behind two assassination attempts in Europe.
