Greenland plans elections for March 11, focusing on independence.

The Prime Minister of Greenland, Mute Egede, has proposed holding general elections on March 11, focusing on the island’s aspirations for independence. The elections are to be held before April 6. Greenland has gained extensive autonomy from Denmark, including the right to declare independence, while Copenhagen still manages security and foreign policy. Greenland is open for business but does not wish to be part of the USA.
