Lamborghini Temerario GT3: The End of Huracán and the Start of a Racing Revolution

Lamborghini Temerario GT3: The End of an Era and the Start of a Racing Beast!

After a long and successful career of the legendary Huracán GT3 EVO with its V10 engine, Lamborghini is not resting! They have unveiled a true racing beast – the Temerario GT3, the successor designed to give private racing teams a winning weapon for endurance races. But wait, this is not just another Huracán with a different name. No, no!

V8 instead of V10? Yes, you read that right!

Lamborghini decided to say goodbye to the V10 engine and hybrid systems in the racing model. The Temerario GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, mechanically simpler, lighter, and brutally tuned for racing conditions. Hybrid systems are banned in the GT3 class, so all unnecessary mounts and components were removed, making the car lighter and more ready to fight on the track.

The first Lamborghini GT3 model fully designed in-house!

Unlike the Huracán GT3, which was developed with Dallara’s help, the Temerario GT3 is a Lamborghini product from start to finish. It uses a modified aluminum chassis from the road model but with completely redesigned front and rear subframes for easier servicing and quick repairs on the track.

Sequential gearbox and titanium connecting rods? Yes, please!

Forget the 8-speed dual-clutch automatic from the road version. This racing model features a unique 6-speed sequential gearbox, which is lighter and faster. The engine is equipped with lightweight titanium connecting rods, a flat crankshaft, and a Capristo sports exhaust system, allowing it to breathe freely and rev very high.

Carbon, aerodynamics, and speed – the perfect combo!

The body is fully made of carbon fiber parts, designed in collaboration with Centro Stile and Squadra Corse teams. Every panel is precisely shaped to improve aerodynamics, directing air towards the engine and brakes. Quick-release panels make mechanics’ work easier, and the aerodynamics are tuned for better stability during hard braking and cornering.

Suspension and wheels for true racers!

The suspension is developed exclusively for motorsport, with KW dampers adjustable in six directions and hydraulic steering for greater agility. Unlike the road model, there are no carbon inserts at mounting points, but solutions that allow quick and easy spring and damper changes. Classic 18-inch Ronal wheels complete the look, favored by true racing enthusiasts.

What about Huracán GT3 EVO owners?

Lamborghini confirmed it will continue to provide full technical support to all Huracán GT3 EVO owners during the upcoming season. So no worries – the old bull still has its place on the track.

Conclusion: End of an era or the start of a new one?

The Huracán GT3 EVO was a legend, but the Temerario GT3 is ready to take the throne. With a V8 engine, lighter construction, and racing DNA from the start, this car is a weapon for those who want to dominate endurance racing. Will private teams manage to harness this brutal machine? We can’t wait to see!

And you? Which do you prefer – the good old V10 or the new V8 racer? Drop a comment and let’s see which side you’re on! Remember, the race has just begun, and we’re here to watch it with a smile and some noise under the hood!
