Vučić on Srebrenica, Anti Serb Politics, and Pressure on Serbia: ‘We Won’t Be Weak and Submissive!’

Vučić and Serbia’s Fight for Respect: From Srebrenica to Anti-Serb Politics!

Tonight, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić delivered a speech that set the region on fire! He began by expressing condolences to the families of those killed in Srebrenica, but he didn’t stop there. Vučić made it clear that Serbia will never give the police the green light for harsher actions against protesters, but he also condemned the anti-Serb politics coming from all sides – from Priština, Podgorica, Zagreb, Ljubljana, and even the great powers.

Vučić pointed out that over 60% of high school students in Serbia don’t know what happened in Jasenovac, which he sees as a sign of disrespect towards their own victims. He criticized the concert of Marko Perković Thompson in Zagreb, calling it a promotion of Ustaše ideology and anti-Serb politics.

The president warned about the formation of a military alliance between Albania, Zagreb, and Priština, marking the first time NATO allies are aligning with a territory that is not recognized. He accused Priština of chauvinism and said Serbia is under pressure but will not bow to foreign interests.

Vučić emphasized that Serbia must respect its victims and national interests and proudly stated that there is no anti-Islamic or anti-Jewish sentiment in Serbia. He criticized those who spread hatred against Serbia and declared that Serbia will not be weak and submissive but will fight for its place in the world.

In his speech, he also touched on attacks against him in Potočari, the lawyers’ strike over an incident with a policeman, and blockades in the country, which he called hooliganism. Vučić promised to help families affected by the fires – they will receive bigger and better houses.

In conclusion, the president stated that Serbia has never lived better and will continue to strengthen its economy and military but will not attack anyone. Vučić called for unity and peace preservation, as well as protecting national dignity.

Is Vučić right or exaggerating the pressures? Who is really to blame for anti-Serb politics in the region? Share your thoughts, maybe you have the answer to these hot topics!
