While Serbia burns in flames, the government plans a military parade worth 10 million euros! Is this a joke or a tragedy? The Serbia Center party (SRCE) demands the immediate cancellation of the military parade scheduled for September 15 and the redirection of funds to equip and train the army for fighting fires and other emergencies. In the past few days, Serbia has recorded numerous fires, and the state has already allocated about 3 million euros for damage repair. The mayor of Kragujevac, Dašić, appeals to city officials to give up half of their income to help those affected. Instead of spending money on glorifying President Vučić through an expensive military parade with ten participants, the government should invest in real problems – protecting citizens and nature. The parade costs are unlikely to be less than 10 million euros, which is absurd at a time when Serbia is battling a disaster. Is this an example of responsible governance or just another show for the public? Read, think, and share your opinion – is a military parade worth the lives and property of affected citizens? Or is it time to change priorities? Comments are open, drop a word or two, maybe you’ll start the real debate!
