Belgrade Fair on the Brink: SNS Selling Tradition for Square Meters!

The Belgrade Fair, once a pride and symbol of Belgrade with an 88-year tradition, is now under threat from the ruling party that sees it only as loot for demolition and selling square meters! The Freedom and Justice Party (SSP) sharply criticizes the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) for plans to destroy this cultural and business center. SSP’s city board vice president Ana Gođevac points out that the Belgrade Fair was brought to its knees when the state decided to transfer all buildings and land to the city of Belgrade, and now it is run by a man with no experience in the field – Nikola Banković, head of the postal vehicle fleet and president of the SNS local board in Rakovica.

This is not just a personnel mistake but a clear message that SNS no longer tries to hide its plan to turn Belgrade into loot for real estate sales. The Belgrade Fair, which has been a place of tradition, knowledge, and culture for decades, is now on the brink of becoming another victim of ruthless politics and greed. SSP calls for urgent protection of the fair, as proposed by SANU experts, to preserve its importance for the city and its citizens.

While the Belgrade Fair is turning into a construction site, citizens and experts watch as a part of Belgrade’s history and identity is erased. Will they allow this city symbol to be demolished and sold for square meters? Or will someone finally stop this robbery? Drop your thoughts below – maybe your comment will be the voice of reason in this madness!
