Chaos in Budva: Gigović Demands Temporary Administration Over Illegal Acts and Million-Euro Mismanagement

Ilija Gigović, a councilor from Budva, has had enough of watching the law being trampled right before the citizens’ eyes. He openly calls on the authorities to introduce a temporary administration in the Budva municipality until the next elections because the current government clearly does not respect the law and manages public funds as if they were their own.

Illegal Dismissals and Decisions

The court ruled that the municipality’s vice president Dokić was illegally dismissed back on December 2nd, and all decisions made by the illegally elected authorities are, by law, null and void. Particularly problematic is the decision on temporary financing made by the illegally elected vice president Nikola Jovanović. Gigović claims that this decision was never put on the assembly’s agenda, which is a serious breach of the law.

Millions in the Hands of the Illegally Elected

To make matters worse, the illegally elected vice president manages public funds amounting to a staggering 60 million euros! Who even controls where and how such a huge amount of money is spent? The citizens of Budva deserve answers, not to watch their money being thrown out the window while the government ignores legal procedures.

Why the Silence?

Why are the competent institutions not reacting? Why isn’t a temporary administration introduced to restore order and legality in Budva? Gigović clearly states that the current situation is unsustainable and will only bring harm to everyone, especially the citizens.

Budva Deserves Better

Budva is known as a tourist gem of Montenegro, but with such governance, its reputation and future are seriously at risk. If these illegal actions are not stopped, the question remains how much more money and public trust will be lost.

Conclusion

Ilija Gigović has raised his voice and clearly stated his position – the law must be respected, and those who break it must face consequences. A temporary administration until the next elections is not just an option but a necessity.

If you think this is just another political soap opera, think again. Budva and its citizens deserve transparency and honesty. What do you think? Is it time to finally restore order, or will we keep watching millions being spent without control? Drop a comment, let your voice be heard!
