Spain approves historic law to reduce workweek hours.

A draft law that could benefit 12 million workers has been approved by the Council of Ministers and welcomed by Pedro Sánchez’s government. Labor Minister Yolanda Díaz emphasized that this is the first reduction in working hours in Spain in the last 40 years. However, the main employers’ organization, CEOE, rejected the text and called for a gradual reduction of working hours through collective bargaining.
