Hell on the Niš-Svrljig Road: One Month After the Death of a Little Girl in Malča, Justice Still Waiting!
Can you believe it’s already been a month since a little girl from Zaječar lost her life in a horrific car crash near Malča? Yes, it has! While the family and all of Serbia mourn, the driver who crossed into the opposite lane and caused the collision still hasn’t faced justice.
What exactly happened?
The night of June 10th is forever etched in many memories. A family of four from Zaječar was heading for a summer vacation, but their journey turned into a nightmare. A 22-year-old driver of a Seat, for unknown reasons, crossed into the opposite lane and directly collided with a Fiat carrying a father (35), mother (34), and their two daughters, one only 3 years old.
The tragic little girl did not survive, while her 5-year-old sister, mother, and father suffered serious injuries. The mother suffered fractures of both thigh bones, right forearm, and abdominal injury; the father had contusions of the liver and lungs, broken ribs, and an open wound on his lower leg. The 5-year-old girl sustained eye injuries, and the Seat driver escaped with minor injuries.
Family in tears and social media full of grief
A relative of the tragically deceased girl shared emotional messages on social media, expressing immense sorrow and pain. “Mila, it’s so hard without you. Your laughter, hugs, and gentle eyes will never be forgotten,” she wrote, as the whole community shares the pain and sympathy.
Investigation and justice – where are they?
The investigation confirmed that the Seat driver crossed into the opposite lane, but the reason remains unknown. The duty prosecutor ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Traffic on this road section was halted for hours due to the investigation, but justice has yet to be served.
