Russian Massive Attacks on Ukraine: Civilians Suffer, Sanctions Delayed!

Hell in the Skies Over Ukraine On the night between July 11 and 12, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukrainian cities. Cities like Lviv, Chernivtsi, and Kharkiv were targeted, with residential areas being hit daily. Three people were injured in Kharkiv, while in Chernivtsi two people were killed and four seriously wounded.

Ukrainian Officials Speak Out Loud Andriy Sybiha, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, is calling on the EU and the US to immediately impose tougher sanctions on Russia. He claims Russia is using oil export revenues to fund a “factory of death” — a war machine killing civilians. Sybiha urges the adoption of the 18th sanctions package to completely cut off funding for Russia’s war industry.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that during the night attacks, 26 cruise missiles and assault drones were launched, half of which were Iranian-made. Thanks to Ukraine’s air defense forces, about 20 missiles and most drones were destroyed, but the damage is huge. Two people were killed and around 20 injured, with medical aid being provided to the wounded.

Why Are Sanctions Delayed? While Ukraine loses civilians and infrastructure, sanctions that could stop this “factory of terror” are still delayed. Sybiha and Zelensky demand urgent and decisive action from the international community, but the world seems to sit idly by as missiles fall on residential buildings and kill innocents.

What’s Next? This war can only be stopped by force, Zelensky says. International partners must move from words to action because every day of delay means more victims and destruction. If you think this is just another distant news story, think again — this war is happening now, and we all feel the consequences.

Will the World Finally React? As we wait for new sanctions, ask yourself: how many more civilians must die before real measures are taken? And will sanctions really stop the “factory of death” or will they just be another piece of paper?
