Earthquake hits Greece; Santorini’s evacuation ongoing.

A new earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale has struck Greece, while the exodus from Santorini continues due to an expected 6.0 magnitude quake. Geology professor Dimitris Papanikolau emphasizes that Santorini is the biggest concern, as residents have left the island in fear of the quake. Authorities have closed some alleys on the island due to the risk of additional tremors, and the police are on standby to prevent possible break-ins into abandoned homes. The local administration is concerned about safety following the departure of around 11,000 residents.
