All blockades across Serbia and Belgrade have been removed, announced the Ministry of Interior. Four individuals have been issued misdemeanor charges, and two will face criminal charges. The Ministry urges citizens to refrain from illegal activities and not to block traffic, especially in ways that endanger safety. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić has launched a fierce attack on the Rector of the University of Belgrade, Ivan Đokić, accusing him of criminal acts due to his public statements about electoral lists at faculties, which she claims is illegal. Brnabić alleges that faculties have been occupied and privatized by political groups using them as election headquarters, and that Đokić has political ambitions and is connected to an organized criminal group that took over the faculties. She highlighted that Đokić participated in the blockade of the main road to Zlatibor in Užice, where he demanded detention for people accused of violence against police. The Prime Minister declared that the time of accountability is coming, and Đokić will have to answer for breaking laws, including the Higher Education Act and the Serbian Constitution. This situation is heating up tensions in society, while the Ministry of Interior continues to remove blockades and calls for peace and law observance. Think this is the end of the drama? Think again — it looks like it’s just getting started! So, what do you think? Is the rector really a criminal or just a victim of political battles? Drop a comment and let’s hear your take!
