Andrija Trajkovic and Serbian Juniors on the Brink of Gold at European Boxing Championship

The fourth day of the European Junior Boxing Championship brought a storm of emotions and adrenaline for the Serbian team. Andrija Trajković, our fighter in the 70 kg category, caused a real sensation by reaching the semifinals! His victory over Azerbaijani Adil Zalov with a score of 3:2 is not just a number – it’s a sign that Serbia has a serious contender for gold. And what does Trajković himself say? “Phenomenal impressions, I’m happy to have won a medal, but now we’re going for gold!” – said the brave boxer.

But that’s not all! Four Serbian junior girls have already secured bronze medals and are now fighting for a place in the final and a chance to win gold. Jovana Damjanović in the 57 kg category won bronze after being stopped by Armenian Anahit Harutjunjan. Jovana Devetaković in the 60 kg category failed to reach the final but won bronze after fighting Russian Katarina Komarova. Mirjana Mastilović and Anđelina Miletić, in the 63 kg and 70 kg categories, also won bronze after being stopped in the first round by Russian and Belarusian opponents.

This success of Serbian juniors at the European Boxing Championship is not just a sports result – it’s proof that new champions are born in Serbia, ready to conquer European and world rings. Will Andrija Trajković and our other fighters manage to bring home gold? One thing is certain – the fight has just begun, and we will follow every punch and every step to the top.
