Belgraders, brace yourselves for total traffic chaos! Starting July 7th, Ljutice Bogdana Street, between Pukovnika Bacića and Generala Nikodija Stefanovića streets, will be closed due to construction works. Sounds like just another day in Belgrade? Think again! This closure will cause a massive mess in public transport. Bus lines 42, 59, 78, and 47n won’t follow their usual routes but will detour via Bulevar Oslobođenja, Dr. Milutin Ivković, and Bulevar kneza Aleksandra Karađorđevića. And that’s not all! Passengers heading towards Petlovo Brdo, Banjički, and Resnik, get ready for longer rides and possible jams. These changes will last until July 11th, and GSP drivers will probably be praying for passengers’ patience. Towards Slavija, Zemun, and Trg Republike, line 42 will run normally, but line 47n will have extra detours due to works on 13. oktobra Street. Thought that was it? Nope! These changes are just part of a bigger summer traffic circus in Belgrade. Did anyone ask the citizens how they’re supposed to survive this? Or is this just another city experiment on our nerves? If you’re already stuck in traffic, maybe it’s time to laugh it off and share your frustrations in the comments. Who knows, your story might just go viral! Either way, hang tight, Belgrade, because summer 2024 is bringing a traffic circus like never before!
