Welcome to the latest episode of the Serbian judicial spectacle! Tamara Đurić, a well-known starlet and wife of the accused Nikola Kačarević, once again failed to show up at the Special Court in Belgrade, where the trial against the so-called Vračar Clan is underway. Yes, you read that right – the woman who was supposed to testify as a key witness simply didn’t come, and she didn’t justify her absence! Judge Svetlana Aleksić briefly announced that Tamara did not justify her absence, while her husband, the accused Nikola Kačarević, remains in custody since November last year, denying all charges.
For those who don’t know, Kačarević is accused of providing information about Aleksandar Šarac, who was murdered in the Ušće shopping center, a killing allegedly planned and executed by the Vračar Clan. Reportedly, he received 6,000 euros for this “service”! And Tamara? According to the testimony of the widow of the murdered man, she was in close relations with Šarac and her husband, often socializing and meeting. Even the defense proposed that Tamara testify, but it seems she considers the trial a farce and decided not to appear.
But wait, there’s more! Communications between Kačarević and his wife reveal they used secret communication apps, and their wedding invitation has already been presented as evidence. While the court struggles with delays due to lawyers’ strikes, Tamara declared she is not the “navigator of the murder” and that the trial is a farce.
The mother of the murdered Šarac, Sanja, was present at the trial today, answering questions from the accused Kačarević, who tried to prove whether his late friend trusted him and where they all socialized. All this while waiting for the outcome of this chaos that looks more like a crime soap opera than a serious court process.
