EU investigates unsafe products on Temu and Shein platforms.

The European Commission has launched an investigation against the online store Temu and the fashion brand Shein for selling unsafe products and possibly violating consumer protection rules. This initiative is part of a broader action against cheap e-commerce imports in the EU. Similar measures have been taken in the US, where tax exemptions for low-value packages from China have been removed. The Commission is concerned about the large number of imported low-value packages, which creates unfair competition and impacts the climate.
