The Harappan script, discovered in the ancient city of Harappa in present-day Pakistan, remains an unresolved mystery for scientists and linguists. The Indian state of Tamil Nadu is offering a million-dollar reward for deciphering this script, which originates from the Indus Valley Civilization about 5,300 years ago. The first artifact with Harappan script was discovered by Sir Alexander Cunningham in 1875. Although numerous similar seals have been found, the challenge in deciphering lies in the lack of multilingual artifacts for comparison.
