The film “Another Simple Favor,” a sequel to the 2018 production, will open the SXSW 2025 film and TV festival, despite the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The film will be available for streaming on Amazon MGM’s Prime from May 1st. Director Paul Feig returns to helm the sequel, with the plot centered around a lavish wedding on the island of Capri, where murder and betrayal will ensue. The premiere occurs amidst the ongoing legal dispute, with the trial scheduled for March 2026.
