Thieves stole 100,000 eggs in Pennsylvania. Prices are rising.

The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for thieves who stole around 100,000 organic eggs from a wholesaler’s warehouse over the weekend, valued at over $40,000. The incident occurred in Greencastle amid a national egg shortage in the US, which has caused prices to surge. Egg prices have increased by more than 50% over the past year as farmers struggle with an avian flu outbreak that has led to the mass culling of chickens.
