Nikola Vucevic Announces Retirement, Serbia with Jokic the Top Favorite for EuroBasket Gold

Get ready for the basketball showdown of the year! Nikola Vucevic, the powerful center of the Chicago Bulls, has finally spoken out about his future with the Montenegro national team and who the top favorite for gold at the upcoming EuroBasket starting August 27 is. And it’s none other than Serbia, led by the world’s best player, Nikola Jokic!

Vucevic didn’t hold back, calling Serbia the most complete and experienced team, playing together for a long time and having the quality to win the title. “Serbia is the main favorite. They had a great result at the Olympics, and I think this year they will take the gold,” Nikola said, leaving no room for doubt.

But it’s not all rosy for Montenegro. Vucevic announced he will likely retire from the national team after this championship. At 34, he’s entering the final phase of his career and wants to focus on family and rest. “I will try to give my all, but my focus will be on other things,” he honestly admitted.

Montenegro will compete in Group B at EuroBasket alongside Germany, Lithuania, Great Britain, Sweden, and host Finland. Only the top two teams from the group advance to the knockout stage, so the battle will be fierce.

What do you think? Will Serbia finally clinch gold with Jokic leading the charge? And what’s next for Vucevic and Montenegro? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s rooting for whom and who ends up on top!
