Europe needs to build a resilient lithium value chain instead of relying on foreign suppliers to ensure its green industrial future, stated the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Marko Čadež. The Jadar project in Serbia is not just about mining, but a test of Europe’s ability to act in its own interest. Čadež emphasized the need for a European regulatory framework for sustainable lithium and the integration of Serbia into the European Raw Materials Alliance. He highlighted that Serbia should not only offer raw materials but also develop.
Europe should build its own lithium supply chain.
