Illegal structures on the Sava embankment are finally being removed, no matter who owns them! State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Slavica Savičić, made it clear that there are no protected owners and that institutions are doing their job professionally and responsibly. Forget about compensation – the state will not pay owners of illegal structures, even if famous names like Tomislav Nikolić are among them. So far, 19 such structures have been removed, and the process continues as part of the project to build an international port for the Expo. This is a clear signal that the law applies to everyone without exceptions, and illegal constructions will not be tolerated due to anyone’s interests.
