School Year is Knocking, and Gornji Milanovac Municipality is Helping Parents Again!
Parents, adopters, and guardians in the Gornji Milanovac municipality can submit applications for financial aid to purchase textbooks and school supplies for elementary and high school students from July 16 to August 15. Yes, you read that right – help is available, but is it enough in an era of soaring prices?
How to Get the Help?
Applications are submitted at the unified administrative office at Takovska 2, with additional documentation required for children attending school outside the municipality or in special cases. Payments will be made on September 1, and parents can collect the funds in person by the end of September.
Is This Enough?
While the municipality strives to assist, parents wonder – is this aid sufficient? The cost of school textbooks and supplies rises every year, and many parents struggle to afford basic necessities for their children. Is August 15 too late to apply when school is already starting?
What’s Happening Elsewhere?
Meanwhile, in other parts of Serbia, infrastructure and utility problems persist – from transformer station failures to flooding after storms. While Gornji Milanovac helps children, Belgrade plans to rent LED billboards to promote projects, and in Niš, suspicions arise about fraud by employees of the Electricity Distribution company.
Conclusion
Gornji Milanovac municipality sets a good example, but the question remains – is it enough to ease the burden on parents? While waiting for new measures and greater support, parents continue to balance the desire to provide the best for their children with the harsh reality pressing down on them.
