Justice for Luka Mihajlović: Fighting Police Brutality and Injustice

Zrenjanin Awakens: Justice for Luka Mihajlović or Silence Is No Longer an Option!

Tonight in Zrenjanin, the city came to a halt. Not for a concert or a holiday, but for one name – Luka Mihajlović. A student of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, brutally beaten by a gendarme after the Vidovdan protest in Belgrade on June 28, he has now become a symbol of the fight against repression and injustice.

The support rally gathered students, citizens, and even war veterans. Traffic was blocked, and the messages were clear: justice for Luka must happen! His mother, Biljana, reveals that Luka is still under house arrest but, despite everything, he is becoming more relaxed and happier because he knows he is not alone. His father, Željko, does not hide his anger: the indictment against Luka is baseless and must be lifted immediately.

Is it possible in the 21st century, in a country that prides itself on justice, for a student to be handcuffed to a hospital bed? Is it possible for someone seriously injured to wait hours for medical help while a warrant is issued for his arrest? This story is not just about one young man but about a system that suffocates freedom, justice, and human rights.

Geography professor Dušan Bojanić says Luka is not just a student but a conscientious citizen who has done a lot for his city. This protest is not just support for one man but a message to all of us: enough silence!

If you think this is just another story of injustice, think again. Luka Mihajlović has become the face of resistance against corruption, repression, and fear. And you? Will you keep watching from the sidelines or join the fight for freedom?

Share your thoughts because real change starts with conversation. And if you have a good joke about police justice, you know where to drop it – in the comments!

Justice is slow but achievable. And Luka? He’s already on the road to freedom.
