French MPs did not vote no confidence in the government.

The deputies of the French Assembly did not pass a vote of no confidence against the government of Prime Minister François Bayrou, as only 128 out of 577 deputies voted for the motion, while the necessary majority is 289 votes. Finance Minister Éric Lombard stated that this outcome is a “good thing” for the country and its citizens.
