Former Croatian Prime Minister, Ivo Sanader, was seen walking in Zagreb, although he is serving a sentence in Lipovica prison. The prison system and the Ministry of Justice did not disclose details, but stated that there are benefits such as weekend leave. Sanader has served more than half of his 18-year sentence and is the manager of the prison library. It is noted that benefits such as more frequent visits and contact with family help inmates prepare for their return to freedom.
