Gucci’s director leaves after 2 years; sales drop 25%.

The creative director of Gucci, Sabato de Sarno, is stepping down from his position after two years. The Italian fashion house recorded a 25% drop in sales in the last quarter, amounting to 1.64 billion euros. De Sarno previously worked at Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, and he replaced Alessandro Michele at Gucci. During his tenure, the brand shifted towards more universal models, but sales remained disappointing. The company will soon announce the name of the new creative director.
