The police in Vranje have filed charges against four minors for the torture and abuse of a seventh-grade student. The charges were filed for the criminal offenses of abuse and torture, as well as causing serious bodily harm. The public prosecutor has initiated criminal proceedings and requested urgency in the matter. A juvenile judge will soon schedule hearings and order evidentiary actions. The incident was reported three days later by the parents of the abused child, who is now undergoing psychiatric therapy and has suffered hearing damage.
