The registered unemployment rate in Montenegro in April was 9.91%, marking the lowest level since records began and the first time in the country’s history that the rate is in single digits. Minister of Labor Naida Nišić emphasized that this achievement is the result of serious reforms, cooperation with the Employment Agency, and social partners, representing the start of a new phase in labor market development. Employment Agency Director David Perčobić highlighted a significant decrease in unemployment across all regions, with a special focus on youth, persons with disabilities, and harder-to-employ groups. The digitalization of services and system modernization were also emphasized as key factors for further development and unemployment reduction.
