Escape with Cocaine on A3 and Police Officer Injured in Babina Greda

The Vukovar-Srijem Police Department completed a criminal investigation of three men, two Croatian citizens and one Australian, who were arrested after attempting to flee police on the A3 highway. They are suspected of consuming and transporting cocaine for further resale. The driver was driving 50 km/h over the speed limit, broke through the toll gate at Babina Greda, and endangered other road users. During the arrest, the driver pushed a police officer who fell from a height of 3.7 meters and sustained serious injuries. Small amounts of marijuana, money, and a mobile phone linked to illegal drug trafficking were also found. Criminal charges were filed against the suspects for unauthorized production and trafficking of drugs, while the driver faces additional charges for enabling drug use, reckless driving, property damage, and coercion against an official.
