Montenegro U21 Football Team Draws with Azerbaijan

The Montenegro U21 football team played a 0-0 draw in a friendly match against Azerbaijan in Baku. Following a draw with Turkey a few days earlier, coach Goran Perišić stated that the match was a quality test ahead of the European Championship qualifiers. The players showed desire and fighting spirit, but there was a lack of creativity in the midfield. Perišić hopes the team will perform at a higher level in the qualifiers, especially counting on the most talented generation of players. The match gave an opportunity to players who did not play against Turkey, but despite several good chances, the net was not shaken.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the development and potential of the young Montenegrin football team, highlighting the importance of nurturing talent and the positive attitude of the players despite the draw. They focus on the team’s fighting spirit and the hope for better performance in upcoming qualifiers.

Center: Center-leaning sources report the match factually, noting the 0-0 draw and the coach’s comments on the need for more creativity in midfield. They present the match as a standard friendly and a preparation step for the qualifiers, without strong emotional or political framing.

Right: Right-leaning media may emphasize national pride and the importance of representing Montenegro well internationally. They might focus on the players’ dedication and the significance of the match as a step towards success in European competitions, possibly stressing the need for stronger results.
