Teachers’ starting pay now matches the national average.

The President of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabić, stated that the signing of the Special Collective Agreement with the education unions has ensured that the starting salary of education workers is not below the national average. This agreement, which will be in effect until March 2028, is considered historic for Serbian education. Brnabić highlighted that the current average salary in education is significantly higher than the national average. Additionally, a further reduction of administrative duties has been announced to support education workers.
