The Palestinian militant group Hamas has confirmed the killing of commander Mohamed Deif, reports Al Jazeera. The Israeli military announced last year that it had eliminated Deif, but Hamas had not confirmed this until now. In November, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Deif, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the war in the Gaza Strip and Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7th.
